I’m Dr. C bringing you this week’s ‘Stupid Sunday Picks.’
The NFL has been topsy-turvey so far this season. The only thing consistent is:
- The KC Chiefs aren’t covering the spread
- The underdog has won more times than the favorite ATS
- The league has the most parity in a decade
How can you take advantage of these consistencies?
First, take Buffalo, and give the points. I’m not going to write a long blog entry to tell you how smart I am and the number of computer simulations I’ve run to know that KC is awful against the spread this year.
Second, Dallas has a chip on its shoulder because they believe they’re America’s team. This is not the 70s, but we can use this attitude to our advantage. Calling the Cowboys the underdog is like opening up a bottle of Pete’s Hot Sauce and pouring it all over the field to heat up the game. It worked last week for Dallas to get them motivated to play, and it should work again this week. Take Dallas and the points.
Finally, the third pick for the week is what I’ll call my ‘know-brainer’ pick for the week. Minnesota going all Viking on the Miami Dolphins. Miami’s QB woes aren’t fixed, so the controversy for leading the offense in South Beach ain’t over. Take Minnesota, and give the points
There you have it. Your Stupid Sunday Picks for NFL Week 6–Buffalo, Dallas, and Minnesota.
DISCLAIMER: The advice given in the Stupid Sunday Picks blog is based on non-scientific data and anecdotal evidence from the previous weeks of the season. If you choose to follow my stupid picks, you do so at your own peril.
